The quality of Newburyport Public Schools is eroding. For that reason, I believe the School Committee needs to be operating with a greater sense of urgency and accountability. They should be asking tough questions, keeping the system on task, fighting for legislation that gets us more support, and engaging the entire community. We can and should expect more from the members of the School Committee. I can provide the strong, compassionate leadership needed to ensure success in the present as well as in the future.
